"California Life Style" Voltaire®
Brand wines - a well known established California wines since Nov 20 1973.
A dry, white wine of extraordinary balance and breed, made from the same remarkable grape that yields Montrachet, Meursault and Chablis in France. Most experts consider it America's best.
An engaging and delightful wine with rich-textured fruit flavors that are balanced with toasty oak for complexity and finesse. This is a luscious wine that can be enjoyed with any fine food.
Voltaire® Pinot Grigio
Orange Blossom and white peach flavors provide this Pinot Grigio with a light bodied, subtle and silky smooth aroma. It is an excellent wine with trout, fresh oysters or shrimp cocktail.
Voltaire® Cabernet Sauvignon
Rich and brilliant, this wine offers enticing aromas of black currants, violets and plums. It's full of the characteristic bouquet and flavor of the superb Cabernet grape of Bordeaux.
The Geyser Peak label have created three brands for varietal wines, the Voltaire® brand of moderately priced varietals, and Summit for popular priced generic wines. The emphasis was put on the Summit four-liter bag-in-a-box concept, which grew in a few years to sales over one million cases, making Geyser Peak Winery the ninth largest winery in California. Geyser Peak Winery was founded in 1880 by one of Sonoma County's pioneer winemakers, Augustus Quitzow. He constructed a winery with a 20,000-gallon capacity on a hillside across from Geyser Peak Mountain in 1882. Geyser Peak Winery is located outside the town of Geyserville in the Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California. The winery buildings total 150,000 square feet with capacity for storage of 2.5 million gallons and crush capacity of 8,000 tons. The Winery produces about 600,000 cases annually.
Friedlin & Associates, Inc. purchased the Voltaire® brand from Geyser Peak Winery on October 29 1994.
In 1986, Markus Friedlin founded Friedlin & Associates to operate primarily as an agent to manufacturers and importers, assisting them in bringing brands to market. In recent years however, the company is increasingly shifting its focus to the development of new wine brands. Friedlin is well versed in marketing to off-sale accounts and specializes in selling to the restaurant trade. Mr. Friedlin has been in the wine business for more than 50 years.
